Reebok Brings Back Iconic AZ II as Part of Reebok Reserve Collection

Reebok reveals one of its first silhouettes of the Reebok Reserve, a collection inspired by the Reebok Archive. This Reebok Reserve launch includes the re-release of its AZ II, the brand’s iconic runner from the 1980s.

Carefully curated, archive-inspired sneakers reinvented for the modern day, Reebok Reserve represents the pinnacle of Reebok. The collection was developed by the brand’s product team in partnership with archive experts, who have reimagined the classics through premium materials, unique designs and subtle detail updates.

While Reebok Reserve encompasses the spirit of Reebok history and storytelling, not all products will be pulled from the Archive, creating a healthy mix of bring-backs and new silhouettes.

“Reebok Reserve is more than a collection of footwear,” said Frank Rivera, Director of Global Brand Narrative & Product Communications in a campaign film highlighting the archival collection. “The Reserve collection is an elevated expression at the intersection of heritage, quality, and possibility, representing the best of our brand. “

First released in 1983, the AZ II ($90) is a re-release of the iconic runner used by both professional and recreational athletes. This launch brings back two of the AZ II’s rare, yet recognizable OG colorways from the Archive. The silhouette is made of updated, quality materials including nylon, a wedged heel, and a bigger and bolder Reebok logo to represent the brand’s strong presence in the ‘80s.

This launch is one of several Reebok Reserve collections to come.
