The 2015 Major League Baseball All-Star Game is less than a week away, and to kick off All-Star Week in Cincinnati, kid’s ages 8-18 attempted and succeeded in achieving the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the World’s Largest Game of Catch yesterday.
Over 500 kids participated in yesterday’s challenge, where they partook in a continuous game of catch for five minutes in order to complete the record. The event was presented by Chevrolet, and was hosted by the MLB Urban Youth Academy. This event was part of MLB’s initiative to engage young people in the game of baseball, and teach them the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
