After obtaining her fitness certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), she created LauraLovesFitness.com in 2011.
Laura has also had a long and successful career in media both on and off-camera working as a reporter and anchor at WLFI-TV in Lafayette, IN and the News 12 Networks. During her broadcast career, Laura received several Telly Awards, a first-place win for in-depth reporting from the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalist and several Emmy Award nominations from the Boston/New England chapter of the National Television Academy. In 2010, she was named Cambridge Who’s Who Professional of the Year in Media Production. Laura received her B.S. and M.S. in Journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University
