With Scammers Stealing Hearts and Wallets, AARP Fraud Watch Network Expert Explains How to Avoid Online Romance Fraud
 With romance scammers on the Internet robbing Americans of more than $80 million per year, AARP’s Fraud Watch Network is calling on all online dating companies to institute new safeguards to better protect their users.  AARP Fraud Watch Network expert Amy Nofziger will discuss the need for the new online dating protections, provide detailed tips for anyone using an online dating site, and invite viewers to get involved by signing an online petition.  The tips provided by Nofziger tell viewers how to spot a romance scammer and how to avoid online dating scams.

Fraud expert Amy Nofziger is a Director with the AARP Fraud Watch Network. Amy has been educating older adults about fighting fraud for close to 13 years. She was served a term on the State of Colorado’s Elder Abuse Task Force, which resulted in Colorado passing a mandatory Elder Abuse reporting law. Due to her experience and expertise, Amy is frequently sought after for public speaking opportunities and has presented across the country to consumers and professionals on consumer fraud.
